About Interior Design

Interior Design is a program that focuses on the creation and enhancement of interior spaces to meet functional, aesthetic, and psychological needs. It combines elements of design, architecture, and psychology to create environments that are visually appealing, functional, and conducive to the well-being of individuals. 

Students in this program learn about design principles, color theory, space planning, materials and finishes, lighting design, and ergonomics. They develop the skills to conceptualize and execute interior design projects for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces.

Program Educational Objectives

At the time of graduation, it is intended that the graduate will have the following abilities:

  1. Ability to formulate and implement design concepts, strategies and/or approaches using new technology in Interior Design.
  2. Ability to integrate theories, current issues and design philosophies to Interior Design problems.
  3. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of history of arts, period styles, materials of decoration, furniture design, building construction and color studies.
  4. Ability to effectively function and assimilate within a collaborative framework in multidisciplinary teams and task force.
  5. Effectively convey and communicate through visual, oral, written and virtual communication whether inter personally through mass media or through electronic means
    or advance ICT technologies.
  6. Ability to understand, apply and practice ethical, professional values and responsibilities.
  7. Ability to perform tasks according to Interior Design global  standards.
  8. Ability to exhibit sensitivity to cultural preservation, social environmental issues and Advocates.
