The Orientation week for new students at the School of Engineering and Technology kicked off this morning to introduce them to the university, its regulations, the faculty’s study system, the date of its establishment and the available specialties.

University President Dr. Mohammed Saad spoke about the establishment of the university and the objectives of its strategic educational plan, and its future plan to improve the educational level, as well as a number of faculty members talked about the various specialties in the faculty such as health informatics, Communications, networks, etc.

It is noteworthy that the Libyan International University launched the School of Enginering and Technology at (2010/2011) to keep pace with scientific and technological progress, respond to the requirements of development, achieve a qualitative leap in the development of the health sector, and meet the need of the community of necessary disciplines in the field of information technology and information technology Health care, the promotion of scientific research in the field of informatics, the management of health care to the benefit of the community, and work to provide the necessary infrastructure and cadres for the software industry and technical support in medical and health institutions of all kinds.

The School of Engineering and Technology awards a bachelor’s degree in this discipline, and the study is organized in the form of semesters, which each semester includes two semesters: the first is autumn and the second is the spring, and each semester consists of (16) sixteen weeks, including two weeks of end-of-term exams, This is in accordance with the study program prepared by the college, which follows the dates of lectures and scientific sessions, with the addition of a third semester “summer” if the faculty deems it, provided that the duration of the study to meet the graduation requirements does not exceed eight semesters (4 years) minimum and ten semesters (5 years) Maximum, except for classes where the student is allowed to stop the enrollment.
